Basketbal Competition

Millfield Academy attended their first basket ball tournament for a couple of years on 10^th November.

They had achieved this through beating Ravenhurst a week earlier at our Braunstone Family tournament.

We arrived at Green Towers – extremely excited and looking forward to playing several games against the best schools in the Hinckley and Bosworth District.

Our first game was against Sketchley Hill.  They had some rather tall players! We played well and only lost by 4 points. There seemed to be a ‘force field’ around their ring – our balls never went in!

The second game immediately afterwards was against Stafford Leys. This was a better game for us as we got 4 points. Unfortunately they got 6!

We won! We were not last! Best of all – the team were polite, well behaved, showed good sportsmanlike behaviour and enjoyed playing all their games.

I was so pleased and proud – well done boys!
