To start
the sporting wow assembly, Mrs Gorman welcomed all the parents and thanked them
for helping provide transport to all of the competitions she and we attend. She
then handed over to Mr Scott, who runs football, and he talked a little bit
about both of the year 5/6 football competition on Thursday two weeks ago. On
the first game of the first match against Mercenfield we lost 1-0. On the
second game against we drew 2-2. We have to thank for these goals Taylor and
Evan. The boys then got through to the finals against Thirgstone, in the first
2 minutes the boys were 5-1 up and the overall score was 10-1.
Now it was
back to Mrs Gorman for Preswell Hall on Saturday 29th September. On
the above pictures you will be able to see where each child came and that Lucy
Pane came 1st out of around 200 girls in year 5. There was also a
boccia competition KS1 came 7th overall and KS2 came 9th
overall. In the last game KS1 and KS2 had a match and KS1 won!
There was
also accelerated reader certificates, there was Polly, Eleanor, Alyssa, Molly
and Theo with 50,000 words and Amninder with 250,000 words. In addition to
this, Lauren in year 6 did a sponsored walk and raised £221! Molly, also in
year 6, did a lyrical dance competition outside of school and came 1st
place and a song dance outside of school where she got 2nd place.
A big well
done to all of the achievements.
