Whole
School Assembly
Today’s assembly started off as usual. The only thing different
was that instead of a picture displayed on the board, there was a short video
of a child building with toy bricks. The question was: what characteristics would
you need for this? The first and only answer was resilience- that was the only
answer Mr Wood was looking for. After that, we did the weekly attendance and
this week we had four winners with 100%! Those four classes included: 5MF, 5AJ,
3SS, and 1HC. Well done to them!
Now, in this assembly Mr Wood was trying to complete a hard challenge
(or so we thought) which included a balloon and a skewer. The task in which he
was trying to complete was putting a skewer through a balloon without making it
POP! He said that if he could do it he would try and get it through the other
end as well so here’s how it went: Mr Wood had lots of balloons and at first,
the balloon kept popping but after a couple of try’s he managed to get the
skewer through one side of the balloon- Well done Mr Wood! Then after that, he
actually managed to get the skewer out the other end; twice! Once he had done
it, a member from Year 4 (Arya) had a go. Arya was great at it and managed to
get the skewer in one end but unfortunately not the other. Nonetheless, she had
a lot of resilience which was the most important thing at the end of the day! At
the end of the assembly, we sang a song and this time it was WAKE UP!
