Whole School Assembly

To start off this week’s assembly, a video showing a group of ballet dancers performing was on the board. The question was: What characteristics are they showing? Here are the answers, the students came up with: Reflective, Team-player, Good-listener and Focused. After that, we handed out the attendance certificates and this week we had 10 classes above 96%! The winners were… 6FS! Well done Mrs Spence’s class! When the beginning of the Assembly ended, Mr Wood asked for two volunteers and once they had been selected, he told them each to make a tower with a packet of cards while the rest of us sang the ‘Together’ song. Once the song had finished, we went to see if any towers had been made but unfortunately both of the children who volunteered failed to build one. Mr Wood then let them both choose a partner from the rest of us to help them attempt to build a tower again while we sang ANOTHER song. At the end, both teams had at one point, four cards standing up. Then Mr Wood asked what characteristics did they show and these were the replies: Resilience, Focus and Team-player.
