Whole School Assembly

Today’s assembly was relatively normal and the picture displayed on the board this time were two people, one donating money to the other. The question was the same as usual and here are some of the answers the children came up with: kindness, bravery, confidence and politeness. Then we had attendance and this time the winners were Mrs Button’s class! After we had given everything out, who else should come but Reena and Buddy! Reena started talking and all of us got a chance to refresh our knowledge on the NSPCC and who we can talk to if we have any problems inside OR outside of school. Once we had lots of amazing answers, Reena read out a poem by an 11 year old girl to child line about how they are always there when you need them. Now, onto the main point- Reena and Buddy came to visit. As you may know, we were all given sponsor forms to help raise money for the NSPCC and today Reena announced the winning classes- who raised the most money, for each Key Stage. The winner in KS1 was… 2RB! And the winner in KS2 was… 6SP! A big well done to those classes who each got a certificate for raising lots of money going to a good cause. After that was announced, Reena brought out a Whole School certificate which went out to ALL of us. One of the last messages of the assembly was that a new job had become available- this is going out to children in KS2 who don’t currently have a job. Children with this job will be known as a Cyber-Champ.
